This month is not only MMF's 12th birthday, but it also marks the launch of the $30 Bosch promotion. Until August, Bosch will donate $30 to MMF from every hot water system sold through Reece Plumbing Centres, Tradelink Plumbing, Origen Energy, Gas Works Group, Scott's Plumbing and Northern's Plumbing. Borneo
trekkers are currently preparing themselves mentally and physically to take on the Sandakan Death March and Mt Kinabalu in August this year. Participants are also in the process of raising money to fund their trip. Proceeds from the adventure come to MMF. Fundraising efforts have included sausage sizzles, movie nights and raffles.

Congratulations to Will Maley and the Flight Centre team for collecting more than $11,000 from their quiz night. Also a success was a curry and wine evening hosted by Georgina McGuinness and Amanda Swale who generated $15,500.
Keep up the good work!

 Chasers crash hospital

When Julian Morrow and Chas Licciardello are around you never know what to expect, but the pair were surprisingly well behaved during their visit to the Women’s & Children’s Hospital on May 16th.
Julian and Chas, stars of the hit ABC show ‘The Chaser's War on Everything’, were in town to perform their new live production, ‘The Chaser’s Age of Terror Variety Hour’ and were only too happy to add a visit to patient and fan David to their schedule (above).
Thanks boys!!

Nat trades stage for
adolescent ward

Actress and ‘So You Think You Can Dance Australia’ host Natalie Bassingthwaighte was in Adelaide recently to play a gig with her band Rogue Traders at Thebarton Theatre.
Despite her hectic schedule, she found time to visit some of her biggest fans including 16 year old Paige (above) who has been in the Women’s and Children’s Hospital since January.
Needless to say, Nat was a big hit with the patients, especially those of the male variety.
Much to everyone’s surprise, the hospital received a delivery of bright balloons the following day, courtesy of the generous singing star.

Fitzy's birthday surprise

It isn't fun having to spend your birthday in hospital, but if Ryan 'Fitzy' Fitzgerald comes to visit, you can't help but smile!
This was the case with Nicholas Mitchell who celebrated his 13th birthday in the Women's and Children's Hospital's Brookman Ward playing robot wars with Fitzy.
Our thoughts are with you and your family Nicholas.
We hope you feel better soon!
